Morning Light Launch

Morning Light is the final part of Tom Harding's poetry trilogy that began with Night Work and Afternoon Music. Tom writes about love, loneliness and alienation. He illustrates his books, too, with iconic black and white sketches, making this a poetry collection to treasure.

Article: Another Side of Jimmy Buffett

Fatea magazine kindly published my article on Jimmy Buffett which I wrote a couple of days before his death. LINK HERE

Years later, in a 2009 chat with Bill Flanagan, Dylan praised Buffett as a top songwriter, having a particular fondness for his song, "Death of an Unpopular Poet." This might surprise those who know Buffett solely as the purveyor of a tropical party lifestyle, aimed at drunk, sunburned crowds clinging to inflatable flamingos in paddling pools tinged with spilled margaritas…’

Afternoon Music, Available Now

My second collection of poetry and art Afternoon Music was published in June 2020 by Palewell Press…

Tom Harding’s poems take the reader on an inner voyage of discovery. He shares the unease many of us feel about the pace and sometimes pointless nature of office work and consumerism. With grace and filmic clarity, he reminds us of simple pleasures like lying under a sunlit tree or by an open window and reconnecting to the universe.

"Shadows cross the walls of my heart like the vacant bedrooms of the city at noon."

Each poem is illustrated with Tom's own exquisite drawings.”

Afternoon Music is available now in paperback from Amazon or the publisher Palewell Press
